A favorite pastime of mine when I am not Piratin' or preoccupied with real life commitments is to look a little deeper into History, Mythology, and Theology. Normally, looking deeper means for me research and going to a library to check out books and do extensive reading. I also like to do this for video game. Nothing is more rewarding for me than to figure out what inspires a character, an event, and so on. Lore in games is also one of my key points when looking for a game I want to play. Lore is the reason, the cause, the effect, the now, the later, the past, what is, what was, what can be. If you understand what I mean when I say this you're probably a Lore scholar like me.
But Knowledge is not something to be kept to oneself and it's nice to enlighten others, if possible. So, this page will be dedicated to my "Lore Examined" or "Spiral Detective" articles. Some will be simply speculation on various lore in games but predominantly the Spiral as well as my own personal dissections and interpretations of what inspired something in a game.
